Is the Huge Population an Obstacle?

Some people argue that a more tha 250 million Indonesian population causes the country be difficult to grow. In fact, a number of Indonesian community states that they have never asked something to the government. They have been fulfilling their needs by themselves without any government contribution. How come do they be an obstacle for the national development?

The government have to consider the huge number of people as a potency, not obstacle. China, for example, is a country with more than a billion population. The policy of its government has placed the population as a human power. The number of people has become the reason of its amazing economic growth. Today, China is one of the world's economic giants.
